As a young girl “lek” which means “tiny”, also known and Sangdeaun Lek Chailert, grandaughter of a Shaman Healer grew up in a small Village called Baan Lao, just two hours North of Chiang Mai Thailand.
Following in her Grandfather’s footsteps of not only healing the villagers, but occasionally healing sick animals in the village , Lek has come to take on advocating for the rights and welfare of the Asian elephants in Thailand, and establishing Elephant Foundation and Elephant Nature Park to take care of broader domestic animals.
